Capturing Perspectives: International Photography Seminar at Woxsen University

In collaboration with Sony India Pvt. Ltd., the School of Arts & Design at Woxsen University hosted an illuminating international photography seminar focusing on society and pedagogy. This dynamic event aimed to foster intellectual discourse surrounding the utilization of photography in social and educational contexts, providing a platform for insightful conversations and knowledge exchange.

As a testament to its commitment to Educational Research and Social initiatives, Woxsen University invited 26 students from the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Fine Arts Academy (TTWR-FAA) to participate in this enriching seminar. Divided into two sections, the seminar comprised roundtable discussions and keynote speeches, facilitating comprehensive exploration of photography's diverse roles and impacts.

The panel discussions delved into photography's multifaceted nature as both an art form and a tool for activism and social change. Topics ranged from the ethical considerations of photography to its influence on cultural perceptions and stereotypes, stimulating thought-provoking dialogue among attendees.

In the afternoon session, the SONY team led a session focused on the technical and aesthetic evaluation of photography, providing invaluable insights into the craft. Through collaborative efforts and engaging discussions, the seminar succeeded in expanding participants' perspectives and enhancing their understanding of photography's significance in society and education.
