Sustainable Building Materials Workshop: Building with Earth at Woxsen University

To all Woxsen University students
This insightful workshop welcomed students from across the university, with participants from Design, Architecture, and Business Schools co-creating in an engaging and hands-on learning environment.

Workshop Highlights:
Day 1: Introduction to raw earth, overview of earth techniques, and earth material science
Day 2: Identifying suitable soil, characteristics of raw earth, and hands-on experimentation
Day 3: Mold formwork and in-situ rammed earth brick production
Day 4: On-site landscape seating building
Day 5: Rammed earth design esker, documentation, and open exhibition
This collaborative workshop truly exemplified the power of interdisciplinary learning and sustainable innovation!
